ARTique offers several choices of mounting for your artwork.
- Vacuum mounting - used for most posters and non-limited art. Using a spray adhesive and a vacuum press the art is permanently attached to the specified board (i.e. Foam board, matboard or mounting board).
- Acid-Free mounting - Similar to Vacuum mounting. This procedure still uses the same press, but is always done on an acid-free mounting board. Not commonly used, but is good for old paper or rice paper images.
- Acid-Free hinging - Used primarily for original watercolors, the artwork is hinged to the mat using an acid-free artists tape.
- Acid-Free Corners - Generally used for limited edition prints. Acid-free plastic corners are used to keep the artwork in place without attaching anything to the artwork itself.
- Canvas Stretching - Using either 1/2" or 1" common strainer stock. Regular or gallery wrap.
- Needlepoint and Cross Stitch Stretching - Depending upon the job, stretching is usually done on foam board using stainless steel straight pins. Sometimes a needlepoint double stick tape is used. Can be done with or without batting.
- Jerseys - Either on an acid-free board or directly on glass, the jersey is held in place with an acid-free double stick fabric tape and stainless steel straight pins where necessary.
